I created these modules a few years ago to help the students I supervise (Peer Research Assistants) learn strategies for helping patrons in reference interactions.
The Reference Interview
The Reference Interview allows you to play through a few scenarios and see how a patron will respond to different types of questions. It also addresses the difference between open-ended and closed questions for clarifying patron needs.

Brainstorming Search Terms
Brainstorming Search Terms emphasizes that there is more than one way to search for a given topic, and that being creative with search terms can lead to better or more results.
